Hi Carolyn, you know what I think YOU have a wonderful accent! Isn’t it funny how I don’t think I have one 😉

I don’t think I have an accent either, Christy. Well, not until I go somewhere, like England, or America where the language is the same, but I am the odd one out… accent wise! Then I realise, to others, I have an accent… 😀 😀

Haha it’s funny how neither of us thinks we are accent bearers 😉 Happy Friday, dear friend! 🙂

Lovely to hear your voice, Christy. Hearing a poet read their own work is much more powerful than simply reading it. And this one knocked my socks off! Wonderful ♥

It’s so nice to hear your voice along with the music and your beautiful words. You’ll have to do this with all of your poems (I guess that could take a while though – maybe it’s better to just keep writing them).

Yeah! It’s a sunny day today and tomorrow and I found out about a new huge mural close by.
I can’t sit in the sun and read because I finished the first Nellie book, but second one hasn’t come, yet. So, murals it is!

Hey CB,
A beautiful poem CB given dimension by your reading and accompanying video. Thank you 🙂
The romance and tragedy of love and loss inspires the heart from opposing ends of the same emotional spectrum. You have captured the intensity of the melancholy minstrel so well: the poem is perfectly poised, balanced somewhere between euphoria and despair at a point where the one fantastical path forks to become two paths stretching away before us. A time of difficult choice, separating head from heart, fantasy from realism, truth from fiction, certainty from wishful thinking.
Drowning in sweetness and sentiment, I found one of the most powerful lines to be,’ …we held time within our intertwined fingers.’ It had me reflect on the first moment we hold hands with a new partner and the weight that is invested in that touch…it reflects the totality of our hopes and dreams of/for/in love and carries monumental weight. The first touch, as the first kiss, is a huge investment of the heart. Such anticipation!
Yes you’ve a soft accent to your gentle voice…more readings would be good, your poetry is excellent, your readings compliment your work. I think the presentation of both is a superb idea, thank you CB for the chare 🙂
Hoping all is well wherever you may be. Take care in all ways for always.
Namaste 🙂

DN, thank you so much for your reflections that do mirror the musings of the heart that created this poem. I’m looking forward to reading more of your dreamy words too in your posts. I’ll be forever grateful for the thoughts you bring to the posts, which highlight them and take them to a new level. Sweet meets tragic indeed in much of my poetry. But it is when the light escapes, finally, that the healing begins. I’m wishing you a wonderful day/evening and many smiles 🙂 Peace be with you too, my friend.

Hey CB,
It’s always a pleasure musing your tender reflections and tenderly reflecting your pleasurable musings. The minstrel in your mirror sings with the joy of a Nightingale released from her cage….words offer such freedom for realising our melody. ‘But it is when the light escapes, finally, that the healing begins’ – perfect, poignant: the moment when we find out we’re amazing just the way we are. – ‘shine on you crazy diamond’ as Pink Floyd once said 🙂
Poetry is perfect to carry the gentleness of your voice, the softness of your touch. Best wishes writing more.
Enjoy the hue of infinite blue, of cloud free skies, cloud free for you. Flutter by or flitter high, climb reach soar, just fly, high, always, in all ways, trying, to always fly higher.
Thank you for smiles…for so many miles of wonderful smiles for my open road stretching away to a town called Eternity…
I’ll look forward to your next visit to chez Dewin. Take care CB…hope you are smiling 😀
Namaste 🙂
